Our Services for Private Equity Firms

VGP works with private equity sponsors to help improve the revenue growth performance of their current portfolio companies and to help assess risk and potential upside of the sales and marketing function during due diligence of new investments, including helping to develop post closing 100-day plan initiatives.

Portfolio Company Assistance

Our portfolio company work is typically arranged directly with the CEO of the portfolio company in order to ensure ownership and accountability.  Our initial projects are often short diagnostic analyses to identify the nature and magnitude of the growth opportunities and to assess relative priorities.  We are accustomed to performing our work such that alignment is maintained between the objectives of the management team and the objectives of the private equity sponsor.

Due Diligence Assessments

Our services during the due diligence process include helping assess the target company's capabilities and potential risks in the following areas:

We have developed a structured methodology (tailored to fit within a tight time frame) to assist the private equity firm in identifying the telltales of performance in each area and enable a consistent, progressively deeper analysis and more reliable modeling assumptions at each stage of the deal.
100-Day Planning

During the final stages of the due diligence process we are frequently asked to assist with the development of the 100-day plan which will govern the post closing initiatives.  Our role is typically focused on developing the sales and marketing initiatives needed to improve revenue generation performance and to help integrate these initiatives within the overall plan so that important synergies are achieved.  Once the deal is closed we are well positioned to help accelerate the actions needed to generate improved performance and begin creating value.
